BMW Group keeps steady growth in the previous ten months, and electric vehicles perform well

Gasgoo.com (Shanghai November 17th, 2016) In October, BMW Group keeps successful developments across the global market, with the monthly auto sales volume reaching 196,002 units and increasing 2.3% with the same period of last year. The group’s total sales volume reaches 1,942,642 units from January to October, increasing 5.8% and making the new record. In Chinese market, BMW and MINI sell 423,330 units in the previous ten months, increasing 10.2% with the same period of last year.

In the meantime, the Q3 financial report of BMW Group shows that BMW reaches a continuously growing profit in Q3, benefited by the well-balanced global market strategy and the groups’ good performance in financial businesses.

In the previous ten months, BMW and MINI vehicles have a total sales volume of 423,330 units in the Chinese mainland, increasing 10.2% with the same period of last year, in which mainstream models keep leading positions in the sub-markets. BMW 3-series and 5-series keep on innovation and sell well, with the sales volume reaching 98,000 units and 132,000 units. In the previous ten months, BMW X products keep on high growth of 19.8% and sell 32,838 units. BMW X3 increases 30% in sales volume with the same period of last year. BMW X1 increases 77% in its October sales volume, selling more than 6,000 units for the first time.

BMW also perform well in the compact luxury market and large-size luxury market. Apart from the highlighting BMW X1, BMW 2-series increases nearly 80% in the previous ten months and sells more than 16,000 units. The oncoming BMW 1-series sporting cars will attract more young consumers in the market. BMW 7-series also keeps a high sales volume, increasing 94% in October.

BMW I increases 500% in the previous ten months in high-end alternative energy vehicle market. Till the end of year, BMW Group will provide 9 electric products from 5 series and 1,500 TM charging posts across 10 main cities will also be constructed at that time. BMW electric vehicles have outstanding growths this year, selling more than 100,000 units till November. And the annual total sales volume is expected to exceed 60,000 units in 2016.
