A-class Car in October: Crown May Fall Lavida, Buick Gains Considerable

In the golden autumn which was themed as harvest, A-class car market on October was still filled with joy, compared to September, although the growth was slower, the mainstream A-class cars were not suffered significantly. Among them, the year-on-year growth of the top ten models were higher than 10%, and the first ten month accumulative total sales were positive.

Only two months left to the New Year, from the sales of various models, the annual sales champion of A-class car market may belong to Lavida. By the end of October this year, the sales of Lavida is nearly two months more than the second. By contrast, the competition between GT and Jetta is much fiercer, at present, the gap of the cumulative sales is only 1365 units.

From the point of this year's performance, Jetta and GT is equally matched. In August of this year, Jetta exceeds Lavida rapidly. But later, Jetta does not leave status firmly hold and sales have slipped to 29600 units. According to reporter, however, the new Jetta will be on display firstly at the Guangzhou auto show on the 18th of this month, and come into the market on December 7th. New models to be listed could improve market heat of Jetta.

The performance of FAW-Volkswagen Sagitar and BORA remains stable in October. Among them, , the sales of sagitar decline slightly compared with last month; since June of this year, sales of BORA has been climbing continually. The total monthly sales sum of Jetta, Sagitar and BORA is expected to reach one hundred thousand..In A-class car market, the strength of FAW- Volkswagen is undoubted.

And the performance of GT this year is also remarkable. Compared with the same period last year, the first 10 months’ accumulative total sales increased 72.6%. Such high growth in mainstream a-class car camp is extremely rare. The analysis thinks the new GT listed in March last year has clear market position and good understanding of consumer demand, so that it can take a place on A-class car market.

And the sales of Buick Verano, another model of GM, gradually rises after appearing on the market since last June, especially after the policy of smaller purchase tax halve. In October, the sales of Buick Verano is 18900 units, nearly double higher than the same period last year.

In addition, it is worth mentioning that the sales of the Beijing modern MDAvante fell in October. At the same time, the wing sales of MDAvante since the beginning of the year is also alarming. From power configuration of MDAvante, the cars on sale only powered with 1.6 L and 1.8 L engine, the latest version is only 1.6 L model. Compared with other competitors, the  power configuration of MDAvante is not rich. In the first 10 months of this year, the total sales fell 3.7%.

Toyota corolla also appear the same fall, compared with September, the decline is more than 7000 units, and do not appear in the top ten list. And Kia K3 has relatively large rise, and squeezes into the top ten.

In October, with excellent performance, Emgrand regressed top ten of a-class car market. And sales of EADO and Chery Arrizo 5 had some growth, but there were still obvious gap compared with Emgrand. The gap between Arrizo 5 and EADO is further narrowing, there are only more than 500 vehicles at present. At the same time, with more stable performance, Arrizo 5 firmly consolidates the status of independent A-class car market. The pressure Arrizo 5 bring to EADO is not small, but easeoff the sales fluctuations since the start of the year, the market is gradually stable.

According to Cui Dongshu, the national passenger car association secretary-general, the automobile consumption will continue to heat up in November. For the competition in A-class car market, with the oncoming year end, various models of will also rise to strive.
