Mazda's 2016 sales exceeded 280k, increase both Changan Mazda and FAW Mazda

Shanghai，5th Jan Gasgoo-Currently，Mazda has two joint venture companies in China：Changan Mazda and FAW Mazda, Changan Mazda's CX-5, Angkesaila and FAW Mazda's CX-4 are the popular models of the enterprise. At the beginning of 2016, Mazda set in the annual sales target of 240 thousand vehicles. A year later, Netcom agency official learned from Mazda that Mazda not only completed the annual sales target in 2016, but also the sales rose 21% from a year earlier with more than 280 thousand.

By the end of 2016, Mazda brand sold 285653 new vehicles in China, compared with the  235299 vehicles in 2015, the growth of 21.4% was far more than the original sales target of 240 thousand vehicles. Among them, annual sales of FAW Mazda reached 92038 units, compared with the 70101 units in 2015, it increased by 9.5%. This year Changan Mazda sold a total of 193615 new car sales, far more than 151262 units in 2015, the incremental ratio reached more than 28%.

In December 2016, the two major network sold 35593 new cars, compared with the 25065 units in 2015, the growth increased by 42%. In December 2016, the Changan Mazda’s single month sales were a total of 23561 new cars, compared with the 16902 sales in 2015, the sales increased 39.4%. Not only that, FAW Mazda’s single month sales increased by 47.3% with 12032 units.

On the product end, Mazda launched CX-4 and new Tezi two new models in 2016 in China, both were the FAW Mazda channel. In 2017, Mazda will focus on pushing new products in Changan Mazda channels, three new cars will be gradually pushed to the market, including new Angkesaila, a new generation of CX-5 and CX-3. After the three new models officially listed, the overall sales of Mazda models will continue to increase in china
