Geely’s sales jumps 167% in February, exceeding GWM again
Shanghai March 7th, 2017 Gasgoo-Geely shows an astonishing sales performance again in February after its 70% growth in January. On March 6th, Geely published its latest sales data, showing that Geely sells 88,976 units in February, exceeding GWM again and rising 167% year-to-year on a basis of 33,327 units. Total sales of New Emgrand and Boyue reach 40,880 units in February, accounting for 45.9% of the total sales.
Car sales for Emgrand reach 20,743 units in February, the sixth consecutive month exceeding 20,000 units. Sales for New Emgrand rise to 21,000 units in September of last year, keeping a high level of exceeding 20,000 units since then. The average monthly sales exceed 25,000 units from October, 2016 to January, 2017, with a historical record of 28,842 units.
The hot model New Yuanjing also sells 14,166 units in February, showing a year-to-year 69.1% rise compared with the 8,379 units. Emgrand GL, which was launched in September of last year, shows a month-to-month 21.4% decline in February with the sales data of 8,027 units.
Boyue performs best in February among all Geely SUV models with a monthly sale of 20,137 units, a third consecutive month exceeding 20,000 units. Yuanjing SUV, which was launched in August of last year, also performs well with sales of 10,014 units. Sales of Emgrand GS fall to 8,060 units in February.
Besides, the total sales for Geely reach 191,629 units in the previous two months, increasing 105% with the same period of last year and accomplishing 19% of annual 1m units’ sales target. Geely will also launch many new models including LYNK & CO 01, providing support for its further growth.
