Beijing Hyundai to launch three more new models, new SUV revealed  first

Shanghai March 29th, 2017 Gasgoo-The Beijing Hyundai motors initiates its product offensive process in 2017 as the new Hyundai Elantra hits the market. The vice general manager and vice sales chief of the automaker says the brand plans to roll out three new models, a new SUV is to make its debut at Shanghai Auto Show, the new Verna will be available in the third quarter.It also gets the new small compact SUV ix35 ready to launch this year.

The fifth factory of Hyundai or so-called Chongqing factory was put into construction in 2015 with a total investment of 7.75 billion RMB to manufacture 300,000 vehicles and engines every year.

As scheduled, the car maker aims to launch a new compact SUV this year,which possibly will make its debut at Shanghai auto show.At present,Beijing Hyundai gets four SUV models on its list,the ix25,ix35,Tucson, new Santafe. The total auto production and sales volume increased 45.7% and 44.6% respectively in China,2016.Due to the rapid growth of SUV,Hyundai not only rolls out the ix35 but also plans to produce a small SUV in Chongqing factory.

As the first model off the Chongqing assembly line,the small car Verna  employs new design and the price shall start from 70,000RMB.The new car is expected to get a 1.4L  with an output of 74kw and a torque of 132Nm or a 1.6L naturally aspirated engine with an output of 90kw and a turque of 151Nm.A 6 speed MT or an automated manual transmission.
