Dongfeng Fengshen sells more than 48,000 units till April, with SUV sales increasing 17.9%

SHANGHAI May 2nd, 2017 Gasgoo – Currently, Dongfeng Fengshen has 9 products covering car, SUV and alternative energy vehicle markets. Official data shows that Dongfeng Fengshen has a total sales volume of 48,487 units from January to April this year, with SUV sales volume growing 17.9% year-on-year. According to plan, Dongfeng Fengshen will also launch a new SUV model AX4 to further implement the AX camp.

SUV market is still the main battle field, with sales volume reaching 35,790 units from January to April and comprising for 73.8% of Dongfeng Fengshen’s total sales volume. Compact SUV AX7 takes the lead, with total sales volume reaching 20,692 units this year and growing 6.9% year-on-year. Small-size SUV AX3 sells 8,081 units, while compact SUV AX5 sells 7,017 units. The 4th SUV model AX4 was released in April, which was positioned between AX3 and AX5 and targets at young consumers. It’s expected that AX5 will be launched in September.

Dongfeng Fengshen will also take efforts in alternative energy vehicle market. Three new models including new E70, AX5-EV and AX7-PHEV were released on Shanghai Auto Show in April. E70, the facelift model for A60 EV, will be launched in October this year. The new model equips with the self-independently researched driving motor, machine controller and vehicle control system. It equips with 49KWh battery with range reaching 302 KM, 60KM longer than A60 EV model.
