Dongfeng Venucia signed Internet-car Cooperative Agreement with AMAP

Shanghai, August 15, Gasgoo - Dongfeng Venucia signed a cooperative agreement with AMAP in Beijing on August 14th to conduct comprehensive cooperation in Internet-car area.

In fact, Dongfeng Venucia released a product similar to car smart butler in the year 2015, providing functions such as vehicle condition check, Wi-Fi and scheduled maintenance. But the simple Internet-car software could not meet customers’ and auto companies’ demands in the coming 5G era. The automatic vehicle payments, V2X, ADAS and Autopilot have demands for smarter vehicles and more Internet services, inducing cooperation between auto companies and Internet companies.

Venucia believes that, to achieve the Internet-car target, the first step should be made in building up a new online-service eco-system. In other words, Venucia will cooperate with AMAP in vehicle-mounted systems by equipping with new systems in all models to solve the navigation problem. “Then the two sides will achieve technological convergence in high-precision maps, autopilot and big data application. Consumers will find the best transportation way through cloud maps and real-time traffic conditions. Venucia will also conduct precise marketing in accordance with big data and its future market positions.”

In conclusion, Internet-car will provide premium prices for Venucia’s future models and lift its competitive power.
