Chengdu will continue to Create an Auto Industrial Cluster

Shanghai, August 17, Gasgoo - The saturated eastern auto market is stimulating western auto market to release its potential in the past several years. Many domestic and foreign auto companies all believe that “any company seizing the western auto market will take the lead in the national market”. In the future, Chengdu will continue to create an auto industrial cluster, running up to form a domestic first-rate auto industry.

Reporters learn from the press conference of the 20th Chengdu International Auto Exhibition that, Chinese auto market faces slow growth in the past two years, and local car ownerships are tending to be saturated. But the Industrial Development Conference of National Central Cities held in Chengdu further determines that Chengdu will make great efforts in developing an auto market with value of RMB 100b. Currently, many auto companies are building factories in Chengdu and the car ownership number in Chengdu ranks second across the nation, showing that a “world-class auto industrial city” is rising.

Chengdu International Auto Show, one of the four domestic A-class auto shows, will be held in Chengdu from August 25th to September 3rd. The show will usher in unprecedented development opportunities, providing platforms for global auto companies to enter into the western auto market.

The show is co-held by Chengdu Municipal People’s government, China Council of the Promotion of International Trade, Automotive Sub Council, and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai, attracting 116 auto brands.
