Total sales volume of FAW Toyota will Reach 6m units, Doubling in five years

Shanghai, September 6, Gasgoo - It’s known that FAW Toyota will hold a ceremony celebrating its total sales volume reaches 6m units in September 15th. It takes only five years for FAW Toyota to sell 3 m units.

FAW Toyota accelerates its product innovation after it began the domestication process by launching 11 models into domestic market including 8 cars and 3 SUV models. Currently, FAW Toyota has basically covered all the car market. Besides, it has launched compact SUV, middle-and-large size SUV models. The rich products provide strong competitive power for FAW Toyota.

Corolla family, Vios family and Prado are taking the lead in terms of sales volume. FAW Toyota has the monthly sales volume of 58,000 in August with year-on-year growth of 10%. Corolla family sells 29,500 units and small-size Vios sells 10,500 units. Prado also sells 4,500 units.

FAW Toyota will introduce the Toyota TNGA global structure since 2018. The small-size SUV is its first model based on the structure. Besides, other models will also be made on the structure and launched into market before 2020. By that time, another 15 models will further lift FAW Toyota’s competitive power.
