Ford October China sales fall 5 percent
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Ford sold 105,809 vehicles in China in October, declining 5 percent year on year. The automaker’s cumulative sales of this year in China also showed another 5 percent falling. In the past ten months, the American company delivered 938,570 vehicles in the biggest auto market across the world.
Changan Ford Automobile (CAF) delivered 73,551 vehicles, down 11 percent compared with October of last year. The joint venture’s cumulative sales decreased 14 percent to 640,290 units.
Monthly sales of Jiangling Motor Corporation (JMC) totaled 25,275 units, creating a new high of October monthly sales with a 6 percent increase year on year. Its year-to-date sales jumped 15 percent to 236,527 units.
In October, Lincoln delivered 5,514 vehicles in China, soaring 48 percent year on year. The luxury marque’s sales in the past ten months jumped 85 percent to 45,279 units.
