Audi Q8 sport concept car makes debut in China
Shanghai (Gasgoo) – On November 16th, Audi Q8SPORT concept car made debut in China at the Auto Guangzhou 2017, which was first unveiled at the Geneva auto show. Joachim Wedler, general manager of Audi China, said, "By the end of 2020, Audi will introduce 6 new SUVs to Chinese market, including 2 models equipped with pure electric drive system."
At present, Audi has four SUV models in China, Q3, Q5, Q7 and Q7 e-Tron. By the end of 2020, Audi will launch another 6 new SUVs to further expand the lineup of SUV products in China, including 2 pure electric SUVs, Audi Q2L, new Audi Q5L and Audi Q8.
The appearance of Audi Q8 SPORT concept car adopts the Audi family new design elements. Design of polygon intake grille in the front face is more radical with a honeycomb shape of internal structure. LED headlights on both sides are connected with the black frame around the intake grille. All the lighting functions are dynamic display. The door is designed without a window frame and can be opened with a touch.
Audi Q8 SPORT concept car is equipped with a mild hybrid system consisted of a 3.0T V6 turbo engine and a motor, with the comprehensive maximum power of 350 kw, and peak torque of 700 nm. It takes only 4.7s for it to accelerate to 100 km. It can reach a top speed of 275km/h, and boasts a range of 1200km in a gas-filled state.
