Top 10 SUV models by October sales

Shanghai (Gasgoo)-In October, sedan and MPV market shares continued shrinking, while the SUV market shares kept increasing with double-digit growth rate. According to the sales data released by China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), the Haval H6 still dominated the SUV market with sales of 49,015 units in October. The Baojun 510 delivered 45,047 units, ranking second among the top 10 SUV models by October sales. The JV SUV, Tiguan, which takes the third place among the top 10 SUV models by sales, sold 37,971 units in October. Thanks to the high cost efficiency, self-owned brands showed huge advantages over JV brands. Among the top ten SUV models, seven are under self-owned brands. Only three JV SUV models were luckily enough to enter the top 10 rankings, namely the Tiguan, the Envision and the X-Trail. The Envision ranked eighth with a delivery of 22,160 units, and the X-Trail ranked ninth with October sales of 20,421 units. Strikingly, four self-owned SUV models were listed on the top five SUV sales rankings in October.
