GAC Group posts a year-to-date sales increase of 23.04%

Shanghai (Gasgoo)-In November, GAC Group delivered 180,508 vehicles, up 3.53% year on year. The cumulative sales of GAC Group in 2017 soared 23.04% year on year to 1,822,772 units. 

GAC Honda took the lead in November sales of GAC Group's subsidiaries, totaling 68,262 units with a year-on-year increase of 4.14%. Besides, it also took the cumulative sales crown with a total delivery of 640,101 units, increasing 12.86% compared with the same period last year.

GAC Trumpchi posted second largest sales with a delivery of 43,324 units in November, jumping 12.18% year on year. Moreover, its total sales during January and November reached 464,996 units with a year-on-year increase of 38.41%. Based on current data, GAC Trumpchi is expected to exceed its annual target sales of 500,000 units by the end of 2017.

Taking the third place in the sales ranking, GAC Toyota sold 36,826 units in November, down 11.98% year on year. In terms of the cumulative sales, it increased 5.12% year on year to 409,057 units. Similar to GAC Toyota, Honda Automobile (China) Co., Ltd. (CHAC) also suffered sale slump of 16.65% year on year to 1,397 units. The cumulative sales of CHAC reached 16,941 units, surging 68.22% year on year. Other subsidiary companies saw their sales growth in November.

In November, sales of GAC's passenger vehicles reached 179,907 units, increasing 3.23% year on year. During the previous 11 months, the total sales of passenger vehicles reached 1,820,424 units, up 23.06% year on year. In specific, SUV sales increased 14.2% year on year to 104,237 units. During January and November, total SUV sales reached 1,031,757 units, soaring 43.91% year on year. 

Compared with the same period last year, sedan and MPV saw sales declines in November. Sales of sedan reached 71,872 units, down 7.54% year on year. The total delivery of the sedans reached 753,839 units. Sales of MPV drop 27.9% year on year to 3,798 units. The MPVs were delivered 34,825 units in total, decreasing 15.83% year on year.
