Shanghai (Gasgoo)- With better improved product portfolio, Dongfeng Nissan, the joint venture between Dongfeng and Nissan, aims to sell 1.17 million vehicles in China this year, according to the automaker.
In the first month of this year, Dongfeng Nissan sold 98,303 vehicles, growing 5.8 percent from a year earlier, setting a solid foundation for its completion of the annual sales target.
In 2017, the joint venture handed over 1,122,407 vehicles in China, jumping 10.6 percent year on year and exceeding the sales target of 1.08 million units. After its sales first overpassed 1 million units in 2015, the annual sales of Dongfeng Nissan have been over 1 million for three consecutive years.
Its production plan shows that it will introduce four new models in 2018, including an all-new SUV model, a new electric vehicle, a facelift model and a redesigned model. Out of those new models, the electric vehicle will be built on the new-gen Leaf while the facelift model will probably be the new Qashqai, which has been on sale overseas. The new SUV is expected to be a seven-seat SUV.
