The plaintiff asked Great Wall to stop the infringement act and also asked for a compensation of RMB 22.14 million for losses.
An official from Honda China told the media that this lawsuit is not related to a product but to a technology. Currently, the Japanese company can only offer patent number.
The other party, Great Wall Motor said that after they received the complaint, it has checked the development history of related products and made a detailed analysis about the related product on both sides. The Baoding-based automaker reached a conclusion that since there are obvious differences in the products, it hasn’t infringed any patent from Honda.
