FAW Hongqi targets annual sales of 30,000 units in 2018

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- It is revealed that FAW Hongqi set an annual sales target of 30,000 vehicles in 2018, and the number of its dealers is expected to reach 100 by the end of 2018. Du Xiaodong, director of public relation of FAW Group and spokesman of Hongqi, recently disclosed that the Hongqi H5 as well as its price is slated to be released on Apr. 25.

The H5 comes with an impressive straight-waterfall-type intake grille adding with Chinese traditional folding fan element. It features slender headlights which are connected with the intake grille. Adopting a fastback design for its rear end with one exhaust pipe on both sides, the H5 looks very dynamic and sporty.

Featuring a length of 4945mm, a width of 1845mm and a height of 1470mm with a wheelbase of 2875, the Hongqi H5 is more competitive than the BMW 3 Series Li at its same class in terms of length, width and height.

The new model's interior design delivers a graceful and stable looking, featuring a well-ordered center console with straight lines, three optional colors and two optional trims. It also boasts a variety of high-tech amenities, such as three-spoke multi-functional steering wheel, ACC, AEB, seven-inch LCD instrument panel and automatic parking.

The H5 is powered by a 1.8L turbocharged engine mated with a six-speed automated manual transmission. It is the third model under Hongqi brand and also the first new model after Hongqi was independent, demonstrating great meaning for Hongqi brand. Positioned as a youthful and sporty B-class model, the H5, a fresh model under Hongqi brand, will attract more youngsters born in 1980s and 1990s.
