Geely’s all models to carry Autonavi mobile-vehicle map app

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- AutoNavi, a navigation and location-based services provider owned by Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba, reached cooperation with Geely Auto, saying that both parties will forge deep exploration in such areas as onboard navigation, location service, traffic big data and Ali ecology. What's more, the latest Autonavi mobile-vehicle map app will be deployed in the full lineup of Geely's models. 

It is said that Autonavi mobile-vehicle map app offers navigation services for driving scenarios, featuring a wide variety of cutting-edge functions, such as real-time road conditions, congestion avoiding, 3D navigation guide, traffic accident checking and mobile connection, etc. 

With the help of Geely's GKUI platform, the accounts of Geely's car owners can be connected with the accounts of Autonavi's users. When the car owners open navigation with GID (Geely's only account), they can choose to use the accounts of Autonavi which they had previously or register a new account of Autonavi, both of which can synchronize with the favorites and searching history of the owners' Autonavi map apps on the mobile phones and can send positions to the vehicles via Autonavi mobile map apps, realizing the connection between vehicles and mobile phones.

Under the cooperation, the function of inertia navigation will enable the 2018 Geely Boyue to combine the navigation with the data of sensors, helping realize quick, real-time, precise and continuous inquiry and positioning for locations, conditions and space relations, thus providing continuous navigation function for car owners. 

Autonavi officially launched the internet-based onboard navigation product, namely the Autonavi mobile-vehicle map app in April, 2016. The product was put into operation in Changan and Geely's models first. The 2018 Geely Boyue is a good case to show the deep cooperation between Geely and Autonavi.
