Geely Borui GE to show up at Auto China 2018
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- At Auto China 2018, Geely will showcase the Borui GE which is planned to go on sale in July this year, according to local media. The new model is a plug-in hybrid version of the Borui sedan.
Visually, the PHEV features the Geely's iconic ripple-shaped grille at the front face flanked by the rather sleek headlamps, while the grille down the side looks very sporty. Besides, there are charging ports in the front wings. Boasting a hatchback style, the rear end sports a distinctive outline as well.
Speaking of interior, the Borui GE adopts a wrap-around console featuring a rectilinear design. The multifunctional 3-spoke steering wheel decorated with wood grain plaque and chrome trims creates quite a sense of luxury. Besides, the massive 12.3-inch full liquid crystal instrument panel, the rectangular-element ambiance lamps on the door panel and console as well as the wireless charging function are all bright spots in design and configurations.
The PHEV is powered by a 1.5L turbocharged engine mated with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The powertrain is developed by CEVT (China Euro Vehicle Technology AB) based on the CMA (compact modular architecture), a global mid-size unibody automobile platform.
