Geely Auto May sales surge 61% year on year, completing 40% of 2018 sales target
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Geely Auto delivered a total of 123,068 vehicles (including the Lynk & Co) in May, zooming 61% year on year. Over the first five months, its cumulative deliveries leaped 44% from a year ago to 638,181 units, which has completed 40% of its 2018 sales target 1.58 million units, the company reported on June 6.
Through May, the sales of the Borui and the Boyue totaled 132,099 units. To be specific, the deliveries of the Boyue reached 21,292 units in May, edging up 0.7% over the previous year, while 3,108 units of the new Borui were handed over with a year-on-year growth of 2.0%.
The Jan-May sales of the Emgrand family reached 240,094 units. The deliveries of the all-new Emgrand jumped 17.8% to 20,288 units in May. The monthly sales of the Emgrand GL skyrocketed 77.7% to 12,822 last month. Additionally, the automaker handed over 12,777 units of the Emgrand GS, achieving a year-on-year jump of 27.4%.
What's more, 219,890 units of the Vision family were delivered for the first five months. Among that, the sales of the all-new Vision leaped 61.9% year on year to 11,489 units. With respect to SUV models, the May deliveries of the Vision SUV, the Vision X3 and the Vision S1 posted 10,285 units, 11,060 units and 6,486 units respectively. Especially, the monthly sales of the Vision X3 have exceeded 10,000 units for 7 consecutive months.
Moreover, the May sales of the Lynk & Co 01 set a new high of 9,234 units.
