Changan CS85 to be unveiled at Auto Guangzhou 2018, features similar design to BMW X6

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Changan Automobile will unveil a new SUV model—the CS85 at the Auto Guangzhou 2018 kicking off on November 16. Positioned between the CS75 and the CS95, the CS85 will be the automaker's first crossover SUV model.

According to the photos exposed before, the CS85 adopts Changan Automobile's latest “butterfly” intake grille with sculptural headlights on the both sides of the front face. With dual waistlines for the side profile, the vehicle boasts the fastback design that is similar to the BMW X6, augmenting a sports attribute. Besides, the side skirt coupled with silver trims lowers the visual center of gravity.

A chrome trim pulling through the taillights with LED light source makes the rear end look wider. Two dual exhaust pipes symmetrically arranged on both sides create an aggressive visual effect.

The new model, positioned as a mid-sized crossover SUV, measures 4,720mm in length, 1,845mm in width and 1,665mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,705mm. Moreover, the Changan CS85 will offer two sizes of tires, namely, 225/60 R18 and 225/55 R19 and the panoramic sunroof as optional equipment.

Inside, the CS85 has a T-shaped center console coupled with a large-sized display. The liquid crystal instrument panel and the virtual touch button at the air-conditioning area elevate a futuristic trait. The multifunctional buttons at the three-spoke steering enhance the convenience for driver's operation.

The Changan CS85 will offer two variants based on output power, hooked up to a 6-speed automatic manual transmission. Maximum outputs for the 2.0T engine and the 1.5T engine are 233hp and 178hp respectively.
