GAC Trumpchi said to unveil ENTRANZE SUV concept at 2019 NAIAS

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- GAC Trumpchi is going to unveil a brand-new all-electric SUV concept dubbed ENTRANZE at the upcoming North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) next month, according to a Chinese media outlet.

Apart from the new concept, the automaker will also bring such new models as the all-new Trumpchi GS5, the new Trumpchi GS4 and the Trumpchi GM6 to the auto show. Besides, GAC Group's R&D center located in Detroit will open during the exhibition.

From the time being, GAC Trumpchi has already attended the NAIAS for four times. At the auto show in 2018, the carmaker unveiled the Enverge concept SUV, which is an all-electric model targeting North American market. Visitors were attracted by its futuristic exterior featuring a pair of eye-catching butterfly doors. Other models showcased at the show this year include the GA4 compact sedan and the so-called “8” lineup, namely, the GA8, GS8 and GM8, etc.

According to the automaker's planning, GAC Trumpchi will make inroads into the U.S. market in the second half next year. The yet-to-be-unveiled ENTRANZE will be one of forward-looking products to be launched in North America.

GAC Group is now running a R&D center in Silicon Valley and an advanced design center in Los Angeles. The completion of its Detroit R&D center will further boost the company's strategy of globalization. Reportedly, the new R&D center, involving a total investment of $ 4.4million, will create 62 jobs for local residents.
