Lynk & Co 02 high-performance hits the market priced from RMB156,800

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The Lynk & Co 02 high-performance version officially went on sale on March 18. Prices of its four variants range between RMB156,800 and RMB168,800.

Retaining the exterior design of the existing model, the high-performance version adopts a slender grille that is flanked by split-type headlights, rendering a more aggressive front fascia. Besides, the new model offers several new body color options, among which the eye-catching “energy purple” is particularly special.

The new vehicle is fitted with 19-inch five-spoke rims covered by Continental's run-flat tires, which will let the car still run 80km at 80km per hour after being hit with punctures.

The interior is basically unchanged compared to the Lynk & Co 02, while the all-black cockpit has been added with some purple decorations that are in tune with the exterior color. Other fresh elements include the amaranthine high-shine trims and purple stitches at car doors.

Under the hood, powering the vehicle is a Volvo Drive-E series' 2.0 TD engine that pumps out 190hp and 300N·m, hooked up to a 6-speed automatic transmission manufactured by Aisin. Besides, the high-performance version is equipped with 17 driver assistance systems, such as the adaptive cruise control system with automatic queuing function and the autonomous emergency braking system carrying the pedestrian recognition feature. 

Geely reported that Lynk & Co brand sales in February soared 81.4% year on year to 7,276 units, among which the sales of the Lynk & Co 02 crossover SUV were 1,686 units.
