BYTON names former Ford’s executive as vice president of project management
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On June 18, EV startup BYTON announced that Andy Ball was appointed as the company’s vice president of project management, taking charging of the product development and assisting the startup with punctual delivery of high-quality vehicles.

BYTON stated that the participation of Mr. Andy Ball will further expand its senior executive group and enhance the project management level worldwide. Besides, his engagement is expected to help the EV maker realize the goal to roll out different products based on a same platform to the world with the delivery of its first production model M-Byte SUV as the outset.
Boasting 20-year-plus experience of automobile project management in Ford Motor, Andy Ball has primarily specialized in relevant R&D and engineering operation in Europe and China. During his time in Ford Motor, he played leading roles in development projects for many important platforms and vehicle models with part of fruits including the Ford Taurus, the Focus, the Fiesta and the Escort for Asian markets.
BYTON has been prompt the senior executive recruitment in 2019. On May 10, it claimed that David Twohig had been appointed as Chief Technical Officer who would lead BYTON’s vehicle development from fundamental technology choices to the profitable application of those technologies to products, service and processes.
Before joining BYTON as Chief Vehicle Engineer in March 2018, David was Chief Engineer at Alpine and Head of Vehicle Engineering at Renault Sport.
