254PS engine-powered Lynk & Co 03+ comes to market
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Lynk & Co, a car brand spawned from the relationship between China's Geely and Sweden's Volvo, announced on August 2 that its first performance model, the Lynk & Co 03+, hit the market with three trim levels priced between RMB185,800 and RMB228,800. Afterwards, consumers were allowed to snap up the new vehicles on Lynk & Co e-commerce platform next day.
As the brand's first sedan model, the Lynk & Co 03 features a rather sporty appearance. Now, the athletic essence is further strengthened in the 03+, which offers a variety of optional facilities, such as carbon fiber aerodynamic suite (including splitter and side skirt), carbon fiber rear spoiler, 19-inch multi-spoke rims and panoramic sunroof.
Equipped with the optional aerodynamic suite, the downforce at the top speed are increased to 40kg from 11kg, while the drag coefficient remains unchanged.
If the aforesaid optional devices were not chosen, the standard Lynk & Co 03+ will look quite similar to the 03 Jin/Jin Pro externally. Most noticeable changes are the black A-/B- pillar and roof, 18-inch dual-five-spoke two-tone rims and the exhaust layout with dual stacks of pipes on each side.
Other optional niceties include front/rear parking radars, colors of door handles and the trims above side windows, ADAS as well as holographic display.
As for the interior layout, the relation to that of the Lynk & Co 03 is apparent at first glance. Occupants can find a full liquid crystal instrument panel, a large-sized center console's display, an electronic gear shifter, an electrical parking brake and adjustable electric sport seats. Besides, the sport cockpit largely wrapped with Alcantara that includes steering wheel, door panel, seats and center console will be offered as an optional configurator as well.
The vehicle is said to be powered by Volvo's 2.0-litre inline four-cylinder engine that is able to pump out 254PS, mated with 8-speed automatic manual transmission and the four-wheel-drive system offered by BorgWarner. The 0-100km/h sprint can be done within only 5.9 seconds (Photo source: Lynk & Co).
