SAIC MAXUS launches 2020 product plan

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- SAIC MAXUS plans to offer a higher positioned pickup, the MAXUS T80 and several new energy vehicle models including the MAXUS EUNIQ 6&PHEV this year, the company announced at its online 2020 Sales & Service Annual Conference. The highly-anticipated fire-new hydrogen fuel cell MPV G20FC is also ready for the market this year. SAIC MAXUS targets 160,000-unit (up 33% from 2019) to 180,000-unit (up 50% from 2019) sales goal in 2020.

Besides, exclusive networks for passenger vehicle and pickup truck will be formed, and the construction of over 50 networks for pickup is scheduled to be completed by April this year.

The company' sales soared 42.8% year on year to 120,017 units through 2019, of which 98,382 vehicles (+45.27% YoY) were sold at home while 21,635 units (+32.77% YoY) were offered abroad. By 2019, the young pioneer brand has maintained a compound annual growth of 60% since its establishment nine years ago.

Besides, SAIC MAXUS released some information about its all-new MIFA (MAXUS intelligent flexible architecture). The architecture, featuring unibody and front-engine front-wheel drive layout, will cover midsize MPV, large-sized MPV, midsize SUV, medium- to large- sized SUV and body-on-frame pickup. Its first product based on the new MIFA will be an MPV, which is slated to be unveiled in the first quarter of 2022 (photo source: SAIC MAXUS' WeChat account).
