Baoneng enters into strategic partnership with Midea Group in intelligent manfacturing

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Recently, Baoneng Motor and Midea Group signed a formal strategic cooperation agreement, under which both parties will make full use of their advantages to create an intelligent manufacturing and retail ecosystem, with a focus on intelligent manufacturing, automotive parts, new retail model, etc.

During the signing ceremony, the automaker’s executive vice President said that the two companies share same vision and also both wish to be leaders in high-end manufacturing so as to promote the rapid development of national manufacturing industry.

Wang Hui, general manager of Kuka China, said that both Midea and Baoneng have made great efforts to seek development in both intelligent manufacturing and intelligent retail. The strong capabilities to conduct scientific research and the great production capacity from both sides have provided possibilities for the width and the depth of this strategic cooperation.

The two companies will conduct deep cooperation and share the resources in terms of  high-end intelligent manufacturing, big data, logistics and new retail models. With regard to the high-end manufacturing, Baoneng will introduce the welding robot, welding wire as well as the auto parts from Kuka, a famous supplier of Tesla, BMW and Mercedes-benz, thus engaging in the intelligent vehicle manufacturing.

Additionally, in respect of the new retail models, both companies will build a shared platform, carrying out in-depth cooperation and innovative upgrading in big data applications and retail channels to explore the model of “intelligent manufacturing and retail ecosystem”. Meanwhile, they will make full use of the brand effect, share the resources and complementary advantages, to benefit the rural consumers in accordance with national policy of stimulating the consumption.
