NeoPark in Hefei officially kicks off

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 29, NeoPark, a smart electric vehicle industry park at Xinqiao, Hefei, Anhui province, was officially kicked off.

NeoPark is a hub for hundreds of key supporting enterprises and a highly-clustered full-fledged industry chain. NIO is honored to be one of the largest members of NeoPark.

Covering an area of 16,950 mu (11,300,000 square meters), Neo Park contains facilities for manufacturing and R&D businesses with a designed annual capacity of 1 million complete vehicles and 100GWh batteries. It is expected to output production value of 500 billion yuan ($77.095 billion) per year.

The Hefei-based industrial park will be dedicated to the R&D of the innovative technologies related to complete vehicles, core parts and autonomous driving, said NIO.

NIO announced in early Feb. that it entered into a further collaboration framework agreement with the municipal government of Hefei, where NIO China's headquarters is located. Under the framework, the duo will continue to deepen its collaboration by jointly building a world-class smart electric vehicle industrial campus, namely Neo Park.

Under the agreement, Hefei government will step up its support for the smart electric vehicle industry, attract high-quality enterprises to the park, and provide comprehensive assistance across all sectors, including construction, funding, and talent. In addition, NIO will also carry out long-term development planning for the industrial park, establishing teams in R&D, manufacturing, marketing and management, and play a leading role in integrating resources and providing support to build the world-class smart electric vehicle powerhouse.
