NIO's deliveries in June 2021 soar 116.1% year on year

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- NIO announced on Wednesday its monthly deliveries hit a record high of 8,083 units in June 2021, surging 116.1% from a year ago and jumping 20.4% from the previous month. The deliveries consisted of 1,498 ES8s, 3,755 ES6s, and 2,830 EC6s.

In the second quarter of 2021, the EV startup delivered 21,896 new vehicles, a new quarterly record representing a strong increase of 111.9% year over year. For the first half of this year, NIO's cumulative deliveries amounted to 41,956 units, accounting for 95.9% of the annual volume for last year.

NIO is vigorously expanding its energy supply network with the number of its battery swapping stations and supercharging stations topping 300 and 200 as of June 30, 2021. There were 21 battery swapping stations and charging stations launched yesterday, a new record in terms of daily number.

Notably, a NIO Power Swap Station 2.0 was launched at a service plaza on G30 Lianhuo Expressway, marking the start of NIO's deployment of its second-generation battery swapping stations for highway rest stops.

Last month, NIO set up an intelligent driving technology subsidiary in Hefei, where NIO China is headquartered. According to the business information platform Tianyancha, the new company's line of business covers the sale of new energy vehicles (NEVs), the R&D of auto parts and mechanical equipment, the integration of satellite remote sensing application systems, and Internet information services.
