Didi Chuxing APP removed from APP stores
Beijing (Gasgoo)- The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has ordered all mobile APP stores to remove Didi Chuxing APP from offering, citing that the ride-hailing APP illegally collects and uses personal information of its users, the administration said on Sunday.

The statement says that Didi Chuxing was found in serious violation of laws and regulations. And the company was asked to rectify its problems in accordance with relevant legal requirements and standards to protect users’ personal information safety.
Didi said it stopped registration for new users on July 3 after the CAC announced to launch an investigation into the company on July 2. And the company will remove the APP and rectify its problems in strict accordance with the requirements of relevant departments.
It also added that existing users and drivers who have downloaded the APP will not be affected and can use it as normal. The company will continue to protect users’ privacy and data safety and offer safe and convenient service.
