Volkswagen delivers over 10,000 ID. vehicles in September in China, with ID.3 coming
Beijing (Gasgoo)- Volkswagen's ID. series managed to deliver over 10,000 vehicles in September in China, thus concluded its quarter of continuing growth in delivery volume since July, according to the auto group's report.

Data showed, the VW's ID. all-electric line models delivered 3,415 vehicles in June, 5,810 vehicles in July, and 7,023 vehicles in August, gradually increasing. Whereas in September, Volkswagen delivered 10,126 ID. vehicles, surging 44.18% from August's 7,023 vehicles, shattering the ten-thousand threshold.
The delivery volume of the third quarter of this year nearly quadrupled (by 272%) comparing to the previous quarter, representing the start of the conventional automaker's successful transition into the battery-electric field.
In addition, the company also announced that its ID.3 model, Volkswagen's first all-electric crossover car based on its MEB platform, will be put on the market soon. The ID.3 model was showcased at the Chengdu Motor Show by SAIC Volkswagen, the joint venture between SAIC Group and Volkswagen.
According to the joint venture, the ID.3 is equipped with a ternary lithium battery, with a capacity of 57.3KWh, allowing up to 430 kilometers of NEDC mileage. The Chinese version of the model is slightly narrower than the international version, positioned as a compact electric vehicle.
