MIIT starts battery swapping pilot project

China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) decided to start the pilot scheme of battery swapping application in new energy vehicle segment. The work will start in 13 cities of China, including Beijing, Nanjing, Wuhan, Sanya, Chongqing, Changchun, Hefei, Jinan, Yibin, Tangshan and Baotou.

XPeng P7’s Norwegian version starts at NOK 447,820

According to the automaker, the Norwegian-spec P7 is available in rear-wheel drive (RWD) super long range and all-wheel drive (AWD) high-performance versions, whose retail prices start at NOK 447,820 (around $53,060) and NOK 507,820 (around $60,170) respectively.

HOZON Auto nets 4 billion yuan in D1 funding round

HOZON Auto, the owner of EV brand NETA, has nabbed 4 billion yuan ($625.322 million) in its D1 funding round. The newly-closed financing round was led by Chinese Internet safety giant 360 Security, who plowed 2 billion yuan ($312.661 million), and involved the participation of CCB International, CITIC Securities, GF Venture Capital, as well as a new energy industrial fund under Shenwan Hongyuan Securities (H.K.) Limited.
