Nissan Motor Nov. China PV sales driven by ALTIMA

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Nissan Motor’s November sales result in China remained flat from a month ago, with a hundred vehicles difference, while the latest ALTIMA model drove the automaker’s passenger vehicle sales.

In November, Nissan Motor sold 114,073 vehicles, down 27% from the earlier year. During the first eleven months this year, the auto group sold 1,247,691 vehicles in total, notching down 3.1% year on year.

In the same month, Nissan Motor’s passenger vehicle joint venture, Dongfeng Motor Co. & Ltd. (DFL), sold 96,155 vehicles (including Nissan and Venucia brands), inching up 1% from October but dropping 29.2% from 2020. Nissan sold 86,030 vehicles, and Venucia sold 10,125 vehicles.

DFL reported a year-to-date sales volume of 1,020,796 vehicles by November, with 949,756 vehicles from Nissan and 71,040 vehicles from Venucia, edging down 4.4% compared to a year ago.

Notably, Nissan sold 16,701 seventh-generation ALTIMAs in November, surging 22.4% year on year. The cumulative sales volume of the model amounted to 143,733 vehicles this year, indicating a 40.8% increase versus the previous year.

The Sylphy series sales were 42,573 units, edging up 1.6% from October. For the first eleven months this year, the series sold 461,622 vehicles in total.

The light commercial vehicle sector of the group saw a 7.2% year-on-year decline in its November sales, to 17,047 vehicles (including Dongfeng Automobile Co. & Ltd. and Zhengzhou Nissan). By the end of November, the company accumulated 198,637 vehicles in its annual sales volume, increasing 10.5% from a year ago.
