Early on, BMW removed the autonomous parking assistance, wireless charging, and Wi-Fi hotspot functions on partial models in China, due to the industry-wide chip shortage. Now that the chip supply issue has picked up, the said functions will be seen again on the newly manufactured models, leading to a price adjustment.

Specifically, the APA function will be included again in the 325Li M Sports Package and 325Li xDrive M package, leading to a price increase of RMB1,600 ($251). The 325Li M Sports Dark Edition saw a hike of RMB7,000 ($1,099), with the APA Plus function and BMW Driving Recorder reinstalled. Only vehicles produced starting May will be subjected to the changes.

The 330Li xDrive M Sports Dark Edition saw a price increase of RMB11,000 ($1,728), with wireless charging, Wi-Fi hotspot, APA Plus, and BMW Driving Recorder back in its configurations.

The X3 xDrive30i Lead M Black Edition saw an RMB3,000 ($471) increase with APA Plus and BMW Driving Recorder added.

The X4s manufactured in April and later are equipped with wireless charging and Wi-Fi hotspot functions, and have a price rise of RMB4,000 ($628).

Lastly, the Z4 M40i manufactured in March and after saw a price hike of RMB4,000 ($628), with wireless charging and Wi-Fi hotspot functions added back to its configurations.
