Car and City: March registrations of Li ONE
Beijing (Gasgoo)- In March, China’s up-rising new energy vehicle startup Li Auto saw notable recovery in its monthly registrations from a month ago, according to the data compiled by Gasgoo Auto Research Institute (GARI).
Li Auto only has one model on the road, the Li ONE. In the third month of 2022, a total of 11,077 Li ONEs were registered nationwide, more than doubled from the same month in 2021, while also increased 24.36% from a month ago.
During the first three months of this year, the cumulative registration volume of the Li ONE amounted to 31,896 vehicles. Compared to the same quarter of 2021, Li Auto saw a 159% soar in quarterly registrations.
Among the top ten cities with the most Li ONE registrations in March, aside from Foshan, almost all are provincial capitals or municipalities, aligning with the vehicle’s position as a family-oriented full-size SUV for the middle class.
Hangzhou came in first in the past month, with 714 Li ONEs registered, followed by Chengdu with 659 registrations. Apart from the two, only three other cities passed the 500 units threshold, namely Chongqing, Shanghai, and Zhengzhou. With 299 units registered, Beijing came in last among the top ten list this month.
