Leapmotor’s C01 bags over 45,000 preorders since May 10th

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 28th, China’s electric vehicle startup Leapmotor showcased its C01 model, the first model in the world to be powered by CTC technology (cell-to-chassis), at the 2022 Guangdong-HongKong-Macao Greater Bay Area International Auto Show.

Presale of the C01 has kicked off on May 10th. Up to now, Leapmotor announced that it had received over 45,000 orders for the C01, more than 20,000 orders were made in the first four hours of presale. In the first two days of presale, the C01 was ordered by more than 30,000 units.

Aside from the CTC technology, the C01 is installed with the Leapmotor OS intelligent cockpit. The cockpit consists of an 8155 chip, iFLYTEK’s 3.5 generation intelligent speech system, and the Android VirtualBox that has a compatible rate of over 99%. The cockpit also allows Siri voice control over vehicles, 25 settings of the Face ID technology, and iWatch vehicle control.

Moreover, the C01 is deployed with the Leapmotor Pilot intelligent driving system, with 28 high-precision perception hardware and 23 intelligent driving functions. Users can subscribe for Leapmotor’s NAP function by choice.

Starting from RMB180,000 to RMB270,000 ($27,062 to $40,592), the C01 also features several luxury designs for its premium position, including NAPPA leather steering wheels, suede roof, electric-control rear passenger seat with “boss mode”, and professional audio system tuned by Arkamys.
