Ford Motor’s Q3 China sales dip 11.3% year on year
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Ford Motor sold more than 133,000 vehicles in China in the third quarter of 2022, representing an 11.3% year-on-year decrease, but reflecting an 11.7% growth compared to the previous quarter, the automaker announced today.
Lincoln brand achieved its highest-ever third-quarter sales results in China with 23,827 vehicles sold, flat year-on-year and up 31% quarter-over-quarter.

Of the Lincoln-branded vehicles sold in China in 2022's third quarter, locally-produced SUVs accounted for 17,700 units, a 24% growth from the second quarter.
Zephyr, Lincoln's first made-in-China flagship sedan, sold roughly 5,500 units in the Jul.-Sept. period, up 54% quarter-over-quarter.
Ford-branded passenger vehicle sales amounted to 54,394 units in the third quarter, down 12% over a year earlier, but up 23% over the previous quarter. Thanks to a solid rebound in SUV demands, the third-quarter sales of Ford-branded SUVs jumped 26.6% quarter over quarter to 32,712 units.
The commercial vehicle sales of Ford and Jiangling brands totaled 47,423 units in the third quarter, remaining flat over the second quarter.
Ford brand's electric vehicle sales exceeded 1,400 units in the third quarter in China.
The year-to-date sales of the Mustang Mach-E exceeded 5,000 units following its initial delivery to customers in December 2021.
