Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars scores 37% YoY surge in Q3 China deliveries
Beijing (Gasgoo)- In the third quarter of 2022, Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars celebrated a 37% year-on-year surge in its China sales and a 21% jump in worldwide deliveries.

In the past quarter, the German auto giant delivered 517,800 passenger vehicles globally, 206,815 units of which were delivered in China. In the first nine months of the year, Mercedes-Benz’s cumulative delivery volume in the world's largest auto market came in at 562,616 vehicles.
With several new models added to the automaker’s new energy vehicle portfolio in China, such as the new EQE and the C350 e L, Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars saw a 27% quarter-over-quarter increase in its Q3 new energy vehicle deliveries in the country.
In addition, the higher-end Mercedes models, including the Mercedes-MAYBACH lineup, the Mercedes-AMG selection, and the Mercedes-Benz G series also became more and more popular in China. The Mercedes-MAYBACH lineup scored a 30% year-on-year growth in its Jan.-Sept. deliveries in China.
Besides, in the first three quarters in 2022, deliveries of the E Class and the GLC SUV both achieved a two-digit increase over a year ago.
The automaker is planning to put its VISION EQXX concept car on tour to Shanghai, Chongqing, Beijing, etc., to showcase the company’s sustainability and luxury brand value to consumers in China.
