Chery’s EXEED Yaoguang SUV makes global debut

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chery Holding’s EXEED brand officially launched its first strategic model in accordance to the automaker’s 2.0 development approach, namely, the EXEED Yaoguang, on December 27.

The significant model is the first production model manufactured at EXEED’s Qingdao super intelligent factory, and is also the first vehicle model that rides on Chery’s M3X Mars Architecture 2.0. Along with the debut, blind order of the Yaoguang kicked off at the same time, with a preorder price range of 170,000 yuan-220,000 yuan ($24,400-$31,600).

The Yaoguang measures 4,781mm long, 1,920mm wide, and 1,671mm tall, with a wheel base that spans 2,815mm. The SUV is designed with a wraparound-designed cabin decorated with galaxy-mimicking ambient lights. The vehicle is installed with a 24.6-inch curved display, a D-shaped floating multi-functional steering wheel, and SONY 14 speakers.

Riding on the EEA4.0 electronic and electrical architecture, the Yaoguang is enabled with gigabit Ethernet, OTA, and Autosar functions. Its Qualcomm 8155 chip and iFlytek intelligent speech system allows users to interact with various onboard applications to enhance their driving experience. 

The Yaoguang is paired with an AR-HUD and L2.9 intelligent driving system, offering 21 basic ADAS functions and 11 advanced driving assistance functions. Additionally, the model is powered by Chery’s 2.0TGDI+7DCT power solution, and will be further adapted to new energy power solutions in the future.
