Car and City: Wuling Hongguang MINIEV scores 5.01% YoY rise in 2022 registrations
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- For the year of 2022, there were 410,053 Wuling Hongguang MINIEVs registered across the Chinese mainland, representing a 5.01% year-on-year growth, according to the data compiled by Gasgoo Auto Research Institute ("GARI").
In the last month of 2022, the domestic registrations of the Hongguang MINIEV came in at 33,423 units, sliding 27.3% from the year-ago period, but growing 6.63% from the previous month.

Regarding the Dec. 2022 registration volume, the Hongguang MINIEV was credited the runner-up among all China-made new energy vehicle (NEV) models registered on the Chinese mainland. The best-seller was the BYD Song PLUS DM-i, which outnumbered the Hongguang MINIEV by 9,837 units.
By the end of Dec. 2022, the cumulative registrations of the Hongguang MINIEV added up to 916,124 units.
Regarding regional distribution in Dec. last year, Liuzhou, one of the model's production bases, registered the most Hongguang MINIEVs. Both Nanning and Wuhan had over 700 units of the hotter-selling NEV model registered last month.
On the list of the top 10 cities by Hongguang MINIEV registrations in Dec., four spots were held by provincial capitals, namely, Nanning, Wuhan, Hangzhou, and Zhengzhou.
For the entire year of 2022, Liuzhou still outperformed other cities by the cumulative registrations of the Hongguang MINIEV. None of the four major metropolises, namely, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, were among the top 10 cities by full-year volume.
