Polestar 4 coupe SUV to adopt Meizu's Flyme Auto automotive OS

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese smartphone maker Meizu announced its partnership with Polestar, the Swedish electric performance car brand backed by Geely, via its WeChat account on April 22.

At the Auto Shanghai 2023, Polestar disclosed that Meizu will provide its Flyme Auto Core onboard operating system (OS) to power the new Polestar 4 coupe SUV.

Flyme Auto Core, jointly developed by Meizu and another Geely-backed company, ECARX, is the central component of the Flyme Auto automotive intelligence system, providing the basic framework to support Flyme Auto’s various functions. For the Polestar 4, the Flyme Auto Core will offer seamless multi-terminal application ecosystem.

In addition, Flyme Auto Core also supports FlymeLink, scenario-dedicated engine, AI voice assistant, and other technologies, providing users with cross-terminal interconnectivity and a one-stop entertainment experience.

Notably, the Polestar 4 is the another vehicle model to adopt the Flyme Auto system, following the Lynk & Co 08, marking a significant expansion of Meizu's ecosystem.

At the Auto Shanghai 2023, Meizu and ECARX became the first smartphone manufacturer and automotive intelligence technology developer to jointly demonstrated the integration of the consumer electronics and automotive industries, showcasing the value of technology and experience innovation for both industries and users.
