Chery EXEED’s STERRA ES sedan kicks off blind pre-order

Beijing (Gasgoo)- At the Chery Technology Day on October 16, 2023, the STERRA ES mid-sized luxury sedan under Chery's EXEED brand, officially commenced its blind pre-order phase with prices ranging from 260,000 yuan to 360,000 yuan.

The STERRA ES stands as an upscale new energy vehicle offering to the EXEED range. Previously unveiled at the Auto Shanghai 2023, it is set to hit the market in the fourth quarter of this year.

The STERRA ES embraces the philosophy of "Aesthetics of the Wind" in its design, shaping its body with graceful and dynamic curves. At the front, it incorporates a LiDAR unit on the fore-head. The vehicle's profile adopts a coupe-style design, boasting a remarkable aerodynamic coefficient of only 0.205Cd. The STERRA ES also features an electric rear spoiler that adjusts automatically with speed or manually with two positions (0-15 degrees), enhancing high-speed stability and safety. 

In terms of dimensions, the car measures 4,945mm in length, 1,978mm in width, and stands at a height of 1,489mm/1,480mm/1,467mm, with a wheelbase of 3,000mm.

Inside, the car debuts with the iFLYTEK Spark cognition large model. The integrated cockpit houses a 15.6-inch 2.5K central display with a fresh, scenario-based user interface design, backed by the 8155 platform. It also features the Lion Melody audio system with 23 speakers, supporting panoramic sound effects and different usage scenarios.

In terms of powertrain options, the STERRA ES offers a variety of configurations. The single-motor versions come with maximum power outputs of 185kW and 230kW, while the dual-motor versions provide 123kW and 230kW respectively, enabling a brisk 0-100km/h acceleration in the 3-second tier. 

The STERRA ES is built on an 800V high-voltage platform, offering a comprehensive range of 720km, energy consumption of 11.7kWh/100km under CLTC conditions, and a 150km range replenished in just 5 minutes or 30% to 80% charge in 15 minutes. All variants come standard with intelligent air suspension, CDC electromagnetic damping shock absorption, front double wishbone and rear five-link suspension, all-aluminum chassis, and a one-piece die-cast 6-piston all-aluminum caliper.
