EXEED starts pre-sale of Yaoguang C-DM SUV at 172,800 yuan

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 26, Chery's EXEED brand kicked off pre-sale of the Yaoguang C-DM, touted as the "super comfortable plug-in hybrid flagship SUV." The pre-sale prices are as follows: the Long Range Plus at 172,800 yuan, the Long Range Pro at 182,800 yuan, the Ultra Long Range Pro at 202,800 yuan, and the Ultra Long Range Max at 222,800 yuan.

The Yaoguang C-DM marks the debut model riding on EXEED’s M3X Super Hybrid | Native Hybrid Platform (referred to as the M3X Super Hybrid Platform). The model is set to be officially on the market in the first quarter.

Built on Chery's 27 years of R&D experience, the M3X Super Hybrid Platform is made to be globalized and high-end. As the first model to ride on this platform, the Yaoguang C-DM was built with consideration of the layout of the battery, electric motor, and electric drive system from the outset, undergoing reliability tests in various global locations, including Indonesia, the Middle East, South America, Brazil, Germany, and China's Heilongjiang province. 

The entire vehicle's waterproof performance is three times that of national standards, with the battery pack waterproofing reaching 48 times the national standard, said EXEED. Moreover, the vehicle's battery and other components meet the ultra-wide temperature range requirement from as low as -35°C to as high as 60°C.

The hybrid system of the Yaoguang C-DM comprises the fifth-generation ACTECO 1.5TGDI efficient hybrid engine, a three-speed super hybrid DHT, hybrid-specific batteries, and battery management systems. 

The engine's thermal efficiency exceeds 44.5%, and the two-wheel-drive model is equipped with dual electric drive motors, delivering a maximum total power of 270 kW and a maximum torque of 605 N·m. The four-wheel-drive model, equipped with three electric motors, achieves a maximum total power exceeding 400 kW and a maximum total torque exceeding 900 N·m, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration in the 4-second range.

Featuring a maximum battery capacity of 34.46 kWh, the Yaoguang C-DM offers a WLTC-rated maximum battery-powered range of 160 km, enough for a week's commuting with just one charge. The WLTC-rated combined range of the vehicle reaches 1,343 km, with a real-time measured maximum range exceeding 1,418 km+. Additionally, fast charging replenishes 30%-80% of the battery in just 20 minutes.

The Yaoguang C-DM comes equipped with configurations commonly find in luxury vehicles such as the CDC electromagnetic suspension system, Soft Stop system, chassis hydraulic vibration isolation system, and intelligent brake-by-wire system. Particularly noteworthy is its stability on various road conditions, ensuring a sense of stability during starts, braking, turns, and bumps. Furthermore, with the integration of the four major domains of the electronic electrical architecture, supporting OTA iterative capabilities, drivers can enjoy a consistently luxurious and comfortable driving experience.
