KargoBot secures new cooperation for commercial operation of L4 autonomous freight trucks

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Autonomous trucking solution provider KargoBot recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Inner Mongolia Guangxing Zhiyun Technology Co., Ltd. ("Guangxing Zhiyun" in Chinese pinyin) to jointly advance the commercial operations of L4 autonomous freight truck in coal transportation sector across Wuhai city and surrounding areas, according to a post released on January 24 via KargoBot's WeChat account.

Leveraging their respective strengths, the duo aims to enhance bulk freight efficiency and reduce logistics costs, thus setting a benchmark for green and intelligent transformation in the coal logistics sector.

Guangxing Zhiyun specializes in bulk coal transportation, serving over 20 coal enterprises in Wuhai and nearby regions. The company offers comprehensive coal logistics services spanning key regions, including Hebei, Shanxi, and Shaanxi provinces, as well as border crossings and ports. Guangxing Zhiyun transports 20 million tonnes of goods annually, generating freight transactions worth several billion yuan. Through this partnership, the two companies plan to gradually roll out autonomous freight operations along logistics routes from Ganqimaodu and Ceke ports to the west Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

KargoBot has developed an L4 autonomous convoy solution featuring hybrid intelligence (with a manned lead vehicle and unmanned following vehicles). The company launched commercial operations of this solution in Ordos city. Currently, it operates a fleet of nearly 300 L4 autonomous vehicles, with a total operational distance exceeding 15 million kilometers and an annual revenue of 300 million yuan.

In addition to Guangxing Zhiyun, KargoBot has established in-depth collaborations with other leading bulk freight enterprises in China, including Erdos and ORDOSGT Group.
