The Cortez DARION features over a dozen market-specific upgrades, reflecting Wuling's efforts to adapt its offerings to local driving habits, consumer needs, and infrastructure conditions. Designed as a multi-purpose family vehicle, the model combines intelligent systems with practical configurations aimed at maximizing comfort and usability in daily Indonesian life.

Indonesia plays a central role in Wuling's global strategy. Just weeks later, on July 11, Wuling marked the 8th anniversary of its Indonesian operations with the launch of the MitraEV and the refreshed BinguoEV models, reaffirming its commitment to Southeast Asia as a core overseas market.

Since entering the Indonesian NEV sector in 2022, Wuling has introduced four vehicle modelsAir ev, BinguoEV, CloudEV, and MitraEVwith total cumulative sales exceeding 40,000 units. The arrival of the Cortez DARION signals the start of a broader brand and product refresh, positioning Wuling to elevate its competitiveness and deepen its local footprint.

As part of its ongoing renewal campaign, Wuling Indonesia plans to revamp 50 core retail locations across 11 key cities under its FED channel initiative, aimed at modernizing brand presentation and improving customer touchpoints. In parallel, the company is exploring new retail formats and cross-industry collaborations to expand its distribution network and digital presence.

On the service side, Wuling is reinforcing its user-first approach by refining every aspect of the customer journeyfrom sales to aftercareto enhance satisfaction and drive stronger word-of-mouth.

Product-wise, Wuling is doubling down on the MPV segment, where it has long held strong positioning, while also turning its attention to the commercial vehicle market. The Cortez DARION, offered with a dual powertrain configuration, is expected to attract both family and fleet buyers. To support this, Wuling is establishing dedicated commercial vehicle sales and financing teams to better understand usage scenarios and offer customized financial solutions, particularly for corporate fleet buyers and logistics operators.

By blending local insights with advanced vehicle platforms, Wuling's Indonesian strategy illustrates its broader playbook that continues to gain traction under China's Belt and Road Initiative.
