The first Lanzhou-built Geely went into production line

The first batch of Lanzhou-built Geely went into production on  28 February, which are the first self-made sedans in Lanzhou. It is said these sedans will be sold in Europe.

According to a technician in Geely, the move not only marks that Lanzhou has the ability to produce sedan on its own, but more importantly the that the production line promotes the overall development of related manufacturing industries.

Lanzhou base will mainly produce 1.3-, 1.5- and 1.6-liter Geely Ziyoujian. At the beginning the plant is scheduled to produce 50,000 units annually based on the investment of 400 billion Yuan, and in the second stage the annual production will rise to 100,000 units. At the same time, the project on components production of Geely will also gradually be carried out in Lanzhou during the "11th five-Year Plan" period.
