Chery Auto has 1.4% Chile market share in H1
Shanghai, August 8 (Gasgoo.com) Chinese carmaker Chery Auto sold 1,824 vehicles in Chile in the first half of this year, gaining 1.4% market share of the South Amercian country's auto market in the period, reported Shihua Financial Information today.
The data from Chile's auto industry association show that Chinese-made vehicles have captured 6.3% of the Chilean auto market this year. Since China and Chile signed their free trade deal in 2005, more and more Chinese vehicles have entered the Chilean market. Many of these vehicles are the products of Chery Auto, who sold 1,824 vehicles in Chile in the first six months this year, gaining 1.4% auto market share in this country.
From January to June, China exported 12,000 vehicles to Chile, growing 448.2% year on year (y/y), and the export revenue reached $80.17 million, up 373.2% y/y.
The first-half exports of Chery Auto hit 81,211 units, rising 57.3% y/y and representing 40.7% of the company's total sales in the period.
