Self brands market share soared in 2006

According to the information released recently, that China self brands market share reached over 26% in 2006, marking the best sales performance. Total sales of passenger cars were 4 million vehicles last year, and the top ten automobile manufacturers cumulative sales were 2.759 million vehicles, accounting for over two-thirds of the market share. Chery, Geely and Huacheng, the three self brands were sold 305,200 units, 204,700 units and 200,000 units, ranking fourth, seventh and ninth respectively.

Last year, 3,000 black Chinese Zhonghua Zunchi were delivered to Bremen, Germany through Dalian's Port. The German company HSO conducted sales in Germany. This is the first time for China's automobile brands export to Europe.
