Startup Singulato Motors, Siemens team up on intelligent manufacturing, big data

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- China-based EV startup Singulato Motors and German industrial giant Siemens formed a strategic partnership on March 12 to cooperate on intelligent manufacturing and big data based on the Germany Industrie 4.0 initiative, according to the startup.

By building the cooperation, Singulato Motors will make full use of Siemens's experience in electrification and digitalization to build a world-class digitalized & intelligent vehicle plant. Under the agreement, Siemens (China) Co., Ltd will provide the EV maker with a series of tailor-made products and services such as the digital enterprise software suite and the “digital twin” technology, so as to help Singulato Motors accelerate the process to intelligentize its vehicle production base by getting through various links from product design, production planning, engineering, implementation to service.

In addition, the cooperation also allows both sides to conduct technical exchange and timely integrate world's superior technical resources and development trend of innovative technologies.

Apart from Siemens, the EV startup also teams up with many global leading companies to ensure the quality of auto parts and intelligent technology supply. For instance, the all-new ESP® hev and iBooster braking systems developed by Bosch are applied in the iS6, the carmaker's first mass-produced BEV model. Besides, Singulato Motors has formed partnership with NVIDIA in AI and intelligent driving domains, utilizing the latter's Xavier AI chips based on the “NVIDIA DRIVE AGX” self-driving computing platform to develop the next-generation autonomous vehicles.
