XPENG Motors premieres P7 intelligent coupe in Shanghai
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese EV startup XPENG Motors, unveiled on April 16 its all-new production model dubbed the P7 at the ongoing Auto Shanghai 2019.
The P7, defined as the second-generation intelligent car, is built on the SEPA (Smart Electric Platform Architecture) platform and powered by the intelligent dual-chip system which integrates the NVIDIA DRIVE Xavier™, NVIDIA's most advanced autonomous vehicle chip that can handle 30 trillion computing operations per second, with the Qualcomm's top-line vehicle processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon ™ 820A. Based on the SEPA, the new vehicle has an unmatched power-to-weight ratio plus optimum use of space. Besides, by virtue of the NVIDIA DRIVE Xavier™ and the software algorithm tailored for China's road conditions and Chinese users’ driving habits, the P7's XPILOT 3.0 driving assistance system is able to cope with a wide range of autonomous driving scenarios.
With a length of 4.9 meters, a wheelbase of 3 meters and a dual-motor four-wheel-drive system, the P7 sports a NEDC-rated driving range of up to 600km and 4-second acceleration from 0-100km/h.
According to XPENG Motors' previous report, the P7 features frameless doors, concealed door handles and panoramic windshields. All these details help the P7 enhance its coupe silhouette and reinforce its dynamic balance of speed and elegance.
The XUI (Xpeng's user interface) fusion-based perception is another attractive point for the P7. It is not an impersonal machine interface but provides natural and personalized interaction for drivers, endowing the P7 with remarkable visual and auditory sensing capabilities and deep learning ability.
