Huawei's MDC partner in-driving banks over 10 million yuan for Pre-A funding

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese autonomous driving startup in-driving (dubbed “Huanyu Zhixing” in Chinese) has closed its Pre-A financing with over 10 million yuan raised, according to the corporate data platform Qichacha.

Founded in 2014, the startup works on the development of algorithms and computing platforms for autonomous driving. Its main business is to provide automakers, operators and first-tier suppliers with cost-effective and large-scale production of autonomous driving parts, according to the introduction from in-driving's official website. The core products of in-driving are autonomous driving computing platforms, including TITAN series L4 domain controllers and Ares series L2 domain controllers, as well as open and reliable autonomous driving algorithms and software.

The company is a supplier of China Mobile's connected intelligent driving equipment and a software development partner of Huawei MDC. In December 2016, it jointly demonstrated the construction of a 5G connected automatic driving private network with Dongfeng and Huawei to China's Ministry of Transport.

The startup said it also focuses on self-driving scenarios in relation to urban life, including takeaway delivery, courier delivery, and last-mile travel services. Its products have been applied in many vehicle models, such as Dongfeng's Sharing-VAN, Sharing-Box, EV350, AX7, A60 series as well as SAIC MARVEL's X.

Li Ming, founder of in-driving, said the company delivered over 500 mass-produced vehicles last year, and eyes a delivery target of several thousand units for the year of 2021.
